This format allows agents to see the "big picture" of their book of business by tracking cumulative earnings for every client throughout the calendar year.

Report Purpose

This report is ideal for agents who track their progress toward annual production bonuses or who need to monitor the lifetime value of their client relationships within the current year.

Key Features:

  • Client-Level YTD Tracking: Every client entry includes a running total of all commissions paid to the agent for that specific client since January 1st.
  • Dual Totals: The report clearly separates the current pay period's earnings from the agent's total year-to-date income at the bottom of the statement.
  • Full Transparency: Includes both the total premium paid and the agency's gross commission, alongside the agent's specific split.

Understanding the Layout

The report is structured to show individual transaction details while maintaining a secondary "running total" for each client.

Agent Commission Detail with YTD Total Sample

  • Current Premium: The premium associated with the specific transaction in this pay period.

  • Agency Commission: The gross amount received by the agency.

  • Agent Commission: The net amount paid to the agent for this specific entry.

  • Client YTD Total: The cumulative sum of all commissions this agent has earned from this specific client during the current calendar year.

  • Grand Totals (Footer): Displays the total for the current report period and the total earnings for the entire year across all clients.
