Selecting a File for Import

Commission Tracker Cloud uses a copy-and-paste upload system to move files from your local computer into the cloud environment before importing. Files are not browsed directly from your local drive.

πŸ’‘ Why Use This

Cloud users cannot select files directly from their local computer during an import. This upload step is required any time you import a carrier statement, reconcile a PDF, or upload any file into Commission Tracker Cloud.

πŸ—ΊοΈ How to Access

The Paste button appears automatically on the CT Import screen when you begin an Import Carrier Statement or Reconcile session.

Step-by-Step: Uploading a File

  1. On your local computer, right-click the file and select Copy.
  2. In the CT Import screen, click Paste to upload the file to the cloud server.
  3. Select the file from the list and click Open.

Supported File Types

Import Carrier Statements accepts .xls, .xlsx, and .csv files. Ensure your file uses one of these formats before uploading.

Managing Uploaded Files

Use the View Cloud Files menu to review, organize, or delete files you have previously uploaded to the cloud server.

πŸ”§ Troubleshooting

The Paste button is not doing anything after I copy the file. Make sure you right-clicked the file on your local machine and selected Copy (not Cut). Then click Paste in the CT Import screen. If the file still does not appear, try copying the file again and repeating the paste.

My file is not appearing in the list after pasting. Confirm the file extension is .xls, .xlsx, or .csv. Files in other formats (such as .pdf or .numbers) will not appear in the import file list.

I accidentally uploaded the wrong file. Use View Cloud Files to locate and delete the incorrect file, then upload the correct one.
