Policy Term Number List
The Policy Term Number List appears at the top of the Policy screen and tracks the full life of a policy. A new term is added each time the policy is renewed.
π‘ Why Use This
Every renewal creates a new term, keeping a complete chronological history of the policy. Understanding how terms work ensures payments are posted to the correct period and that historical data is preserved.
πΊοΈ How to Access
The Policy Term Number List is displayed at the top of the Policy screen when you open any policy from the Policy List.

Term List Features
- Reverse Chronological Order β The newest term is always at the top of the list.
- Visible Data β Displays the Effective Date, Renewal Date, Policy Status, and Policy Term Number for every stage of the policy's life.
- Historical Access β Allows you to view Payment History or post payments to previous terms even after a policy has renewed.
π§ Troubleshooting
A payment posted to the wrong term. Select the correct term from the Policy Term Number List before receiving the payment. The highlighted term determines which period the payment is applied to. If a payment has already been posted to the wrong term, delete and repost it to the correct term.
Best Practices
- Verify the term before posting β Always confirm the correct term is highlighted before manually receiving payments.
- Keep all terms β Retain all terms in the system to maintain a complete audit trail of the client's history with your agency.
